Hi, my name is Miriam, let me introduce myself.
I have been married to Dave for 6 years and have 2 beautiful children Milly (5) and Jack (3). Dave is an Operations Manager for a computer rentals firm.
I trained as a childminder to offer quality professional care to other children in a safe homely environment. I aim to develop the children in my care socially, physically, intellectually and emotionally by means of age and age appropriate toys, activities and outings.
It is my aim to work together in partnership with parents and build strong relationships with them and their children. My house comprises a dedicated play room and large grassed lawn area with climbing frame, slides, sand pit, ride ons and a wendy house.
I attend 2 playgroups a week with the younger children and pick up and collect from Castlecroft school.
By working closely with other childminders within the area the children get to play with a large variety of toys and lots of other children - Miriam

My Pledge To Parents

I will provide a range of challenging and enjoyable opportunities for each child to learn and develop to their full potential, taking into account age and stage of development, gender, ethnicity, religion, home language, and ability.
I will provide, and make sure that all children have access to, a range of books, toys and other resources which reflect positive images and examples of the diversity of life in our society, in accordance with the Inclusive Practice guidelines within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
I will work closely with parents and other agencies where appropriate to ensure individual children’s needs are met.
I will ensure that my business documentation, policies and documents are accessible to all.
I will promote self esteem and appreciation of others by celebrating the differences which make us all unique.
I will regularly review my risk assessments to ensure accessibility and reasonable adjustments are made.
I challenge racist and other discriminatory remarks, attitudes and behaviour from all children and adults with whom I have contact.
I am aware of all legislation and existing codes of practice produced by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and under the Equalities Act 2010.
I will anticipate the care I give to all children regardless of their individual needs, and the possibility of reasonable adjustment.
I will regularly review, monitor and evaluate my practice and keep up to date by attending relevant training. Miriam Page
