This is arguably the best looking Hunter 34 that is available anywhere and with her fin keel she points and sails very well.
Whilst the interior is more or less standard, the boat underwent extensive external work in the Winter of 2008/9.
All areas of the deck that showed any moisture were all re-cored and the complete boat was sanded and re-finished with Awlgrip.
At the same time all the plastic opening ports were replaced with Lewmar metal units.
The complete mast and boom were stripped and painted with Awlgrip.
Then all new canvas including dodger was fitted to complete the restoration.
A finishing touch was to add all new cloth covered fenders embroidered with the name “Morning Mist”.
I have poured about $65k into the boat in total and I know I am not going to get it back.
However, it has been a great project to turn this well made boat into a very good and smart looking modern sailboat.
We hope that “Morning Mist” goes to a new home where she will get to sail and be cared for like we have done.
She has just been hauled, winterized and put in accessible indoor storage. She can be moved out at any time.
